Just in case some of you reader viewers haven't seen it, here's what our house looked like when we first moved in (October 2009). So even as I feel wracked with guilt over the sad state of our current landscaping, I can at least remember how it used to look. That banana tree had beer cans planted in the roots. Seriously.

What an amazing transformation. I'm not sure I would have even recognized it as the same house. You should be really proud of how great it looks now.
ReplyDeleteThanks Dana! We are very happy with it. Even just from a structural standpoint, the new landing makes such a huge difference. We never use the carport door anymore, since you can now walk up the steps and stay under the roof line on your way to the front door. And now that the stoop doesn't have the crazy awkward top step that is like a step and a half.
